Hi Luke! No hard feelings if / when you decide to leave MWS Media -- as I recently contacted you (and all my other clients) with the news that I was shutting down the hosting service. Keep in mind that you have a home there until October 2008. For details, see your CPanel.

Thanks for your business and support! Be well.

Hi Curt,

I appreciate your response here. I am currently maintaining my accounts with Precision-Media.net, but I hope you can understand that, due to the recent interruptions, I am currently hosting any critical sites on my MediaTemple account which has not yet had any interruptions.

I am monitoring my uptimes, etc. using a web-based service, and I am continuing to monitor all of the hosting providers mentioned in this post. If my monitoring shows that these uptime goals you have noted are being consistently achieved, I will certainly reconsider my current configuration, and I will make a point of lodging a post here detailing the results.

But, in the interim, and due to some of the site content being irreplaceable digital photographs of one of my clients, until I am positive that the site is secure and accessible, I have to stick with the most effective solution currently available.

Once again, I appreciate your response here, and I hope that I have clarified the reasoning behind my current feelings on the services being supplied by Precision-Media.net, MWS Media and MediaTemple.

Thank You,
Luke

Hello Luke,

We value your thorough feedback on our company, and no doubt will try our best to suit your needs, as well as every one of our customers. We apologize for the inconvenience with our service at www.Precision-Media.net. Off-Server backups are now being taken weekly to insure dataloss of our clients, while new cPanel 11 security features would reduce the risk of being hacked. We hope you continue hosting with us as we are expecting some major site and service updates. The GD library situation was put on delay for a long time, because we did not have access to install modules onto the core of the machine. The hosting site had 98+ uptime until the downtime from our old reseller, to the switch to our dedicated servers in our new datacenter. Our datacenter had routing problems this month which caused the uptime drop to 95% this month. We will be expecting 98%+ uptime for the following months to come. Please email us with suggestions on better customer relations and service. We take all feedback and suggestions into deep consideration.

Regards,
Curt W.
